We will analyze the character’s dialogue, thoughts, and emotions to establish the foundation of the animation. Our focus will be on demonstrating how to create strong video references, sketch thumbnails, and set up the Maya scene to prepare for the animation process.

Session 2: Blocking – Building the Foundation
We will focus on crafting strong and clear storytelling poses that communicate the character’s intent and emotions effectively. These key poses will define the energy and structure of the shot, laying the groundwork for the performance.

Session 3: Blocking Plus – Adding Depth and Movement
We will expand on the initial poses by adding in-betweens and transitions, demonstrating how to enhance body language and introduce fluidity to the movement. We will also focus on developing key facial expressions to align with the body’s performance.

Session 4: Focus on Facial Acting
We will refine facial expressions, lip-sync, and eye movements, showcasing techniques to bring emotional depth and believability to the character’s face. Our goal will be to harmonize facial acting with the body performance.

Session 5: Refining the Shot
We will refine the shot by focusing on timing, spacing, and acting choices, ensuring all elements work cohesively. This session will emphasize creating a balanced, dynamic, and emotionally resonant performance.

Session 6: Polishing and Finalizing
We will demonstrate how to fine-tune the details, adjust timing, and add the final touches to elevate the shot to a polished, professional level, ensuring the performance is ready to captivate and inspire.
