OVERVIEW

This course is designed to guide animators through the complete process of crafting a pantomime shot—from initial blocking to final polish. Animating a compelling performance without dialogue requires clarity, nuance, and a strong understanding of  animation principles. Throughout the course, we’ll tackle the unique challenges of spline and polish, focusing on storytelling through movement alone. Each session builds on the previous one, diving from broad foundational ideas into essential details like spacing, timing, posing, and facial animation. You’ll explore different workflows, learn how to simplify complexity, and gain advanced tips to bring subtlety, weight, and personality into your work. By the end, you'll not only have a refined pantomime shot but also a stronger grasp of how to make your characters think, feel, and breathe—without saying a word.
