About

Calista Antonio is an artist and animator from Indonesia with 15 years of experience in the industry. Intrigued and inspired by how animation is able to make fish talk in Finding Nemo by Pixar, teenage Calista began her animation journey and moved to Vancouver where she attended the Art Institute of Vancouver in 2006. Over the years, she has been practicing her skills by working on various TV series and feature films.

Her journey started with a junior position at Nerd Corps Entertainment in Vancouver, where she gained valuable experience in the industry. She then moved on to work at different studios, including Bardel Entertainment, where she served as an animation supervisor on the Dreamworks / Netflix TV series, VeggieTales in the house.

Apart from her work in animation, Calista is also a dedicated teacher. She taught part-time at the Art Institute of Vancouver, where she started her own animation journey. Many of her students have gone on to work in various animation studios in town, which is a testimony to her teaching skills.

Calista's passion for animation has taken her to different parts of the world. She moved to Montréal in 2016 to work on Mikros Animation's Sahara and has since worked at Cinesite Studios, an advertisement company SHED, online Agora Studio, and Reel Fx. Her animation credits include but not limited to, Paramount's Spongebob: Sponge on the Run, Spinmaster's Paw Patrol The Movie, Reel Fx's short film La Calesita, Warner Animation's Scooby Holiday Haunt and Netflix's The Monkey King. She is currently freelancing for Animal Logic Vancouver.

In her free time, Calista enjoys playing and making music albums, painting, meditating, and spending time in nature with her partner and husky. Her diverse interests and hobbies show her creativity and passion for the arts.
