Previz For 3D Animators aims to equip the participants with Cinematographic knowledge and techniques to Pre-visualize sequences using 3D software packages.
Previz is like the 'concept art' for an illustration - It is fast, fun, and an essential part of the Pre-Production stage, where ideas are explored, and the foundations are laid for productions like a show/game/movie.
At the beginning of the workshop, each participant will be assigned a section of an animatic that involves a variety of references as a guide. Thereafter, during the weeks between sessions, participants will work on their shots employing the knowledge they gained from previous sessions.
As the sessions progress, we study specific topics, share our progress, and exchange views and we will have live work sessions, sharing Chandra's workflow and thought process. Participants could all attempt to be the Directors, the DOPs' and Artists throughout this workshop, and string together their shots towards the end, to make one giant previz sequence.
